Educational interpreters are often evaluated by their principal or other administrator in the school who, more often than not, do not understand interpreting nor do they know sign language. How does administration actually KNOW the interpreter is doing a good job of interpreting for the student? How do they know the interpreter understands the course content so he/she can interpret that to the student?
